The artistic motivation for the Yeah Nah project is social & mental health awareness due to the current fluctuating climate within & outside of all walks of life, due to social + community focused meaning on:

Internal distance, perspective & an individual’s rational place within it.

The Yeah Nah project focus' on a Wayward Split Release of 2 singles "Yeah, Nah" & "Mt 2 Move," split A side / B side release, on vinyl as well as digitally.

Both singles relate specifically to the stop, start, stop, start, Yes, No, nature of our current society & it's direct local impact on our influence culturally.

This focus aims to support the expansion of presence, hopefully inspiring & encouraging social inclusive growth both personally, publicly, communally, artistically initially within our rising community.

A creative focus on striving to achieve a "better together" within a dawning divided fluctuating environment .

Yeah Nah release launch encompasses the radiance of the Gold Coast City Youth Choir & rising roots Artist "The Lyrical" shining a light on leadership and the emergence of hope along with conscious hip hop collective East Ghoast sharing songs which provoke thought & positive messages through story telling & intricate lyricism over catchy beats.

The Wayward Suns Yeah Nah single represents & radiates; love & hope, friends & family, kin-nections & consciousness. Speaking to the perpetual, unbelievable illusion of our societal change, juxtaposed next to the magic embodiment of music makers;

Yeah Nah stirs the soul & frees the heart n’ mind, with its enchanting sweep of a wayward choral gang chant.

After securing a grant from the Regional Arts Development Fund, The Wayward Suns recently entered the studio to record new material.

JIMNA ROCKS FESTIVAL
MAY LONG WEEKEND (^_^)

The May Day Long weekend will come alive in the Somerset region Nth west of Brisbane in the beautiful bush setting at Jimna Base Camp situated just off the Kilcoy highway, One hour 30 min from Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.

22 acts will converge on Jimna for a weekend of Live music and camping in an outdoor setting celebrating the diversity we have here in our local scene.

Acts will range from Indie and Pop to Blues and Rock and everything in between.

A line up that will showcase some of the best local performers and bands who have taken a hit with Covid limiting their options of venues and events to play.

On the back of their first album ‘Paradigm’ which was nominated at the Gold Coast music awards for album of the year, The Wayward Suns are excited to announce their latest single to hit Australia’s ears "Real Shift".

Real Shift, a tune about the transitioning ebb and flow of the current state of mass consciousness truth, love and party, is a dynamic track lit with The Wayward Suns acclaimed style of hip hop infused lyricism, meaningful metaphors, dusty samples juxtaposed  with an untamable mix of blues-funk grooves.  Featuring melodic thumping bass lines, funk inspired beats and explosive guitar shreddery, "Real Shift" blazes a pioneering path through the timeless echoes of the current status quo, "Live on top, change the system, lose the banks, who's goin' to miss them; this whole worlds for you and me, let's rewrite this reality ...
